Wellington Estate Sales – Online Store Terms & Conditions
1. "As-Is, Where-Is" Listing Policy
- Pre-Owned Nature: All items sold in our online store are vintage, antique, or pre-owned estate items.
- No Warranties: Every item is sold strictly "AS-IS" and "WHERE-IS" with no guarantees or warranties of any kind regarding condition, authenticity, lifespan, or functionality.
- Condition Descriptions: We make every effort to photograph and describe items accurately, including any visible flaws, chips, or wear. However, natural aging and minor blemishes are inherent to estate items and may not always be explicitly listed.
2. Strict All Sales Final Policy
- No Refunds or Exchanges: All online purchases are final. We do not accept returns, cancellations, or exchanges under any circumstances.
- Buyer Responsibility: It is the buyer’s sole responsibility to inspect all online photos and descriptions thoroughly before completing the checkout process.
3. Local Pickup and Removal Rules
- Pickup Window: All purchased items must be picked up within the designated timeframes specified in your order confirmation email.
- Forfeiture of Items: Failure to pick up your items within the allocated window will result in the forfeiture of your purchase without a refund. The items will be returned to the estate or resold.
- Moving Assistance: Buyers must bring their own packing materials, boxes, tools, and labor to lift and move heavy items. Our staff is not authorized or insured to load or carry furniture for buyers.
4. Shipping and Third-Party Transport (If Applicable)
- Shipping Availability: Shipping is only available for select small items specifically marked "Shipping Available" at checkout.
- Carrier Liability: Once an item is handed over to a third-party shipping carrier (e.g., USPS, UPS, FedEx), Wellington Estate Sales is no longer responsible for transit delays, lost packages, or items damaged during shipping.
5. Sales Tax and Payment Processing
- Local Tax Laws: All online transactions are subject to applicable state and local sales taxes based on the pickup or shipping location, unless a valid tax-exempt certificate is submitted and approved prior to purchase.
- Payment Security: All online payments are securely processed via encrypted third-party gateways (such as GoDaddy Payments, Square). Your payment data is never stored on our servers.
